Measuring instructions for fly screens
Measuring instructions for standard doors, such as hinged patio doors.
Measure the width between the frames at 3 different points (as shown in A, B, and C) and note the smallest measurement, deducting a 2 mm margin.
Measure the height between the frames at 3 different points (as shown in A, B, and C) and note the smallest measurement, deducting a 2 mm margin.
Check if there is 18 mm of clearance for the screen inside the frame. If not, you may choose a 'Face fit' installation.
Ensure there is 35 mm of clearance between the frame and the door handle. A door handle that protrudes forward from the frame is not an issue, as the door will be open when the screen is in use.
Measure the width between the frames at 3 different points (as shown in A, B, and C) and note the smallest measurement.
Measure the height at 3 different points (as shown in A, B, and C) and note the smallest measurement. Measure from the inside of the top frame down to the floor.
The screen profiles are 35 mm wide on each side. Therefore, increase the width measurement by 7 cm (2 x 35 mm). Increase the height measurement by only 3.5 cm (for the top only), as you have already measured the bottom down to the floor.
